Christmas Markets

Christmas Markets are a perfect occasion to relish all the magic of the holidays and winter traditions. On Lake Garda surely there are plenty of options, here is where to find the most famous Christmas Markets!


Among the most suggestive Christmas markets on the northern Lake Garda, the market in Arco definitely deserves to be visited, for the variety of market stalls and for the many side activities that will entertain young and old.
When? From 15 November 2019 to 6 January 2020.



Verona celebrates Christmas with the decorations and lights across the streets of the city centre and in Piazza dei Signori with the "Christkindlesmarkt", the traditional market from Nuremberg. Lots of artisan products and traditional food and beverages from Bavaria, like the "Glühwein" (mulled wine) and the typical sweets "Lebkuchen" and "Stollen", as well as the typical bread with sausage, merge with the Veronese market that is held in the adjoining Piazza Cortile Mercato Vecchio.
When? From 15 November 2019 to 26 December 2019.


Bussolengo "Flover"

The Christmas market of Bussolengo takes place in the central Piazza XXVI Aprile where it is possible to enjoy the typical Christmas stalls, the ice-skating rink and the lights of the big Christmas tree and the Nativity Scene. Just outside the centre of Bussolengo, the Flover Christmas Village at the Flover garden centre opens its doors to animated scenography, twinkling decorations, Santa’s Little Helpers, elfs and craftsmen with their handmade creations.
When? From 2 November 2019 to 6 January 2020.



Every year the well-known town on the western side of the lake lights up with decorations and illuminations offering a festive atmosphere and many events during Christmas season. Various performances and concerts, games for children and even an ice rink are among the reasons to visit Salò.
When? From 30 November 2019.



From the 6th (December) to the 6th (January) these are the dates of the Christmas celebrations in Bardolino. The nice Christmas market directly on the lakeshore will provide you with many gift ideas to put under the tree. At the harbour it is also possible to do ice-skating while watching the lake. Afterwards, the food court in igloo shape will warm you up with hot drinks and snacks.
When? From 23 November 2019 to 6 January 2020.



"Natale a Malcesine" is the official name of the Christmas festival that is organized in this beautiful town on the Lake Garda every year. Besides the visit of the traditional Christmas market that offers various products and manufactured items, it is possible to take part in many activities for the entire family. Moreover, in the Castle of Malcesine, children can meet Santa Claus and his helpers.
When? From 7 December 2019 to 6 January 2020.



The town of Garda celebrates the Christmas season with the event “Natale tra gli Olivi“ (Christmas among Olive Trees). The old town and the lakefront create a very suggestive ambience thanks to many Christmas lights and decorations as well as to the typical little wood houses of the Christmas market of Garda. Many are the events and entertainment appointments for the entire family during this period.
When? From 22 November 2019 to 6 January 2020.



At the Christmas market in the historic centre of Lazise you can find many beautiful gift ideas like artisan goods, food and local products. Moreover, the little church of San Nicolò has an artistic Nativity scene on display.
When? From 23 November to 24 December 2019 (weekend only) and from 26 December to 6 January 2020.


Riva del Garda

In Riva del Garda you won't find a traditional market but many interesting events. First of all, from 30 November to 31 December kids can visit the famous house of Santa Claus, located inside the fortress, where they can give their letters to Santa, turn into elves to create drawings and other works or listen to Christmas fairy tales. Riva will also host the Christmas Village "Di Gusto in Gusto", a market dedicated to the culinary specialities of the area.
When? From 16 November to 15 December 2019 (only weekends) from 19 December to 6 January 2020 (except 25).
