Lake Garda Rosé Wine Festival in Bardolino
From 31 May to 2 June 2024, Bardolino hosts the annual Chiaretto wine contest, Palio del Chiaretto, where the lastest Bardolino Chiaretto DOC is presented - and enjoyed, of course.
Chiaretto is the rosé variant of the famous Bardolino wine and is produced from many grapes: Corvina veronese (35-65%), Rondinella (10-40%), Molinara, Rossignola, Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon (all used alone or in combination).
The colour of this wine ranges from rosy to coral rosy, while its unique fragrance evokes wild berries and field flowers. Chiaretto is a fresh and young wine, perfect for aperitifs. The red fruits stand out on the palate.
Like Bardolino, it can be paired with appetizers, pasta, and fish dishes. You can also enjoy it with Asian cuisine, for example with sushi.
The festival features music and entertainment throughout the town and along the lakeside, accompanying wine lovers, enthusiasts, and curious visitors during their tasting. Admission is free.
