Lake Garda offers a wide variety of beaches, from fully equipped lidos to untouched stretches of shore, from sandy beaches to pebbled and rocky banks. Water depth varies around the lake: it’s generally shallow along the southern shore but drops off steeply toward the northern end. With hidden coves, wide bays, and narrow inlets at every turn, Lake Garda’s shoreline is a landscape like no other.
Beaches on Lake Garda: 📍 Veneto (eastern shore)
Spiaggia Corno (Garda)
Spiaggia Corno ("Corno Beach") is one of the most picturesque and popular beaches on Lake Garda. Located just north of the town's historic centre, it lies along the promenade leading to the famous Punta San Vigilio. The beach is made up of fine gravel and pebbles, with crystal-clear waters and lush Mediterranean vegetation all around, while bars, kiosks, and restaurants are just a short walk away. Easily reached on foot from the centre of Garda, it's especially convenient for guests staying at the Pratone Apartments, which offer private access to the shore.
Baia delle Sirene (Garda)
Not far from the centre of Garda lies the picturesque Punta San Vigilio headland, offering one of the most stunning views of Lake Garda. Nestled in the heart of the Punta San Vigilio Park, the well-known Baia delle Sirene ("Mermaid Bay") features a private beach and a small kiosk. Admission is subject to a fee, which covers parking, loungers and deckchairs, showers, and live music on weekends. Dogs are permitted in a designated area.
Spiaggia Val di Sogno (Malcesine)
This public pebble beach south of Malcesine is popular with windsurfers and sailing enthusiasts, but also offers pleasant lakeside walks along the promenade. At Val di Sogno ("Dream Valley"), guests can rent parasols and loungers. Isola del Sogno ("Dream Island"), a popular dive spot, is only 20 metres offshore and can be reached on foot at certain times.

Spiaggia La Cavalla (Garda)
Only a few metres from the historic centre, Spiaggia La Cavalla ("Mare Beach") enjoys a prime spot on the lakeside promenade between Garda and Bardolino, making it conveniently close for families. This public pebble beach features bars, restaurants, and lounger hire. The water is particularly clear in this area, contributing to La Cavalla’s reputation as one of the lake’s most popular beaches. Nearby parking is available for a fee.
Lido Mirabello (Bardolino)
Located just south of Bardolino's historic centre, on the Cipriani lakeside, Lido Mirabello offers a private beach equipped with loungers, parasols, and a bar/restaurant. The water is deep, and the shore combines pebbles, rocks, and lawns. A small car park is available nearby for a fee.

Spiaggia La Guglia (Pacengo)
Not far from Pacengo marina, this public sandy beach is easily reached from Peschiera and Lazise. Bars and restaurants are close by. A pleasant lakeside stroll toward Lazise leads to the sandy beaches of the nearby campsites, which are also open to day visitors.

Spiaggia delle Lucertole (Nago-Torbole)
One of Lake Garda’s smallest public beaches, Spiaggia delle Lucertole ("Lizard Beach") is nevertheless among the most characterful, with its dramatic overhanging cliff that only experienced climbers dare to scale. A very small car park with three spaces is available nearby. Torbole itself also boasts one of the lake’s most beautiful beaches close to the historic centre.

Spiaggia dei Pini (Riva del Garda)
Also known as “Spiaggia Porfina”, Pini Beach is located in Riva del Garda. Popular with young people, it has a bar serving drinks and snacks and hosts themed parties and live music throughout the summer. The pebble shore opens onto a large lawn for sunbathing and offers showers, lounger hire and a swim platform with a pool area and slide into the lake. Windsurfers and kite surfers also love this spot, with dedicated areas for their activities.
Beaches on Lake Garda: 📍 Lombardy (western shore)
Jamaica Beach (Sirmione)
One of the most beautiful and characterful beaches on southern Lake Garda, where reflecting rocks make the water appear turquoise. The beach is located on the tip of the Sirmione peninsula and can only be reached on foot or by boat.
Lido delle Bionde (Sirmione)
Lido delle Bionde is a public pebble beach with grassy lawns and a lively atmosphere. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, plus kayak and pedalo hire. In the evening, the beach comes alive with aperitifs and happy-hour events.
Baia Bianca (Manerba)
Popular with young people, Baia Bianca is a sandy beach that combines daytime services and music with thrilling evening events. Facilities include lounger and parasol hire, a restaurant, a bar, and boat service.

Baia del Vento (San Felice)
Located in San Felice del Benaco, Baia del Vento is one of Lake Garda’s most beloved beaches. From here, the panorama stretches across Monte Baldo, Punta San Vigilio, Isola del Garda and the western shore from the Vittoriale degli Italiani to Toscolano Maderno. The shore extends from Punta del Corno to Punta di San Fermo.

Spiaggia d’Oro ("Golden Beach") lies about 700 m from the picturesque marina at Rivoltella. This pebble and shingle beach is backed by tree‑lined green spaces that offer welcome shade during the hottest hours. A fully equipped kiosk provides lounger hire and a range of refreshments – from snacks and lunches to aperitifs at sunset. Nearby parking is available for a fee.
