Cycling Tour on the Wine Route

A 20-km panoramic ride along the Strada dell'Uva

There is no better way to experience the breathtaking beauty of Lake Garda than on two wheels. Cycling allows you to slow down and soak in the stunning views, not just along the sparkling shoreline, but deep within the rolling countryside – a landscape beautifully shaped by centuries of traditional farming.

This scenic wine route spans roughly 20 kilometres, guiding you through some of the region's most spectacular landscapes. Starting from the charming old town of Bardolino, you’ll head toward the picturesque "Strada dell'Uva". As you pedal through the gentle morainic hills, you’ll be treated to unmatched, panoramic views of Lake Garda. It’s a wonderfully balanced landscape where rugged terrain meets a rich agricultural history, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the majestic Monte Baldo. The route itself is an easy, enjoyable ride characterised by gentle rolling hills that weave through sun-drenched vineyards and peaceful olive groves.

The eastern shore of Lake Garda is also called the "Riviera degli Olivi" ("Olive Riviera"). This sun-kissed region is the birthplace of two of Veneto's most celebrated products: the world-class Lake Garda extra virgin olive oil (PDO) and the famous, light-bodied Bardolino wine (DOC), which is grown in the very hills you'll be riding through. Your journey will take you through lush, green vineyards to the beautiful lakeside town of Lazise, before looping back to Bardolino.

Since the route has no major climbs or technical sections, it's perfect for a relaxed day out. With its microclimate, ideal balance of sunshine and rain, rich soil, and the generations of expertise handed down by local farmers, this region feels less like a physical place and more like a living painting.

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s grab your bikes and explore this Italian paradise!
