Together for the environment
“There is no planet B”. That’s the point of the ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst’s message, while explaining how he sees Earth’s beauty and fragility from space. More than ever, it represents the current environmental situation.
For this reason, Europlan is committed to reducing its environmental impact every day, in collaboration with local partners and suppliers who share the same goals. It doesn’t take much for starting to make a real difference.
In particular, Europlan promotes these behaviours:
- plastic reduction
- alternative mobility
- renewable energy
- waste sorting
- new eco-friendly services
- energy reuse
Plastic
We reduce the use of non-recyclable plastic containers and materials by replacing them with bottles, carafes, glasses, cups and plates made of glass, porcelain or biodegradable and compostable materials; with cutlery made of steel, bamboo or biodegradable materials and with refillable soap and shampoo dispensers (in our hotels).
Alternative mobility
We offer charging stations for electric cars (1, 2, 3, 4, 8), a bike and e-bike rental and a shuttle service to the historic centre of Bardolino (1, 3).
Renewable energy
We have installed photovoltaic panels for water heating (6, 7, 8).
Waste sorting
In all our lodgings and offices.
New eco-friendly services
We have introduced sustainable services and features, such as energy saving key cards (1, 2, 3, 4), a system for turning off the air conditioning when windows and doors are open (in our apartments), LED lights or low energy saving lamps, water-efficient toilets (1, 2, 3), towel change and disposable
slippers on request in our hotels.
Energy reuse
We have installed heat pumps that allow to recover the hot water used for air conditioning (in our hotels).
