Wines

Valpolicella Classico "Bonacosta" - Masi
"Bonacosta" is Masi's Valpolicella Classico, a structured red wine and one of the great classics of the Venetian tradition. The Masi Valpolicella Classico "Bonacosta" is composed of a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. To preserve its fresh and fruity properties, the must is fermented in steel tanks. This phase is followed by a short ageing of 6 months in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels and a month of maturation in bottle before it comes on the market. It has a ruby red colour of medium intensity and a fruity aroma of cherries and red fruits. Full-bodied and fresh with vanilla notes. Masi "Bonacosta" is a simple yet elegant wine, defined by its fine and pleasant aroma.

Brolo di Campofiorin Oro - Masi
"Brolo" is equivalent to the French term "clos" meaning a walled vineyard. The wine is a special selection of Campofiorin (registered trademark of Masi), a wine that combines the personality of the Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes (grapes rediscovered by Masi) with the originality of the appassimento drying and double fermentation techniques. It is aged in small Slavonian oak barrels. A versatile wine of intense ruby red colour with purple nuances; dry, full, complex and elegant. It has an aroma of berries, jam and vanilla, feels warm in the mouth and tastes rich, intensely of cooked fruit, with hints of cocoa and vanilla in the aftertaste. Soft tannins and a long finish. Brolo Campofiorin Oro is a wine that pairs with rich dishes, pasta with meat or mushroom sauces, risottos, grilled or roasted red meats and aged cheeses.

Amarone Vaio Armaron - Masi
The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico "Vaio Armaron Serego Alighieri dal 1353 di Masi", is born in the vineyards of the Casal dei Ronchi estate, property of the Serego Alighieri Counts, descendants of the great poet Dante, in the heart of the DOCG Amarone della Valpolicella. It is a traditional Amarone, refined by its excellent complex and vigorous qualities. It is a full-bodied red wine with intense taste, structure and an infinite variety of aromas! It is mainly made from the traditional Amarone grape variety blend of 65% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 15% Molinara which are collected exclusively by hand and then dried for about 120 days in order to increase the sugar concentration. The fermentation takes place in traditional stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine ages for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels and for another 4 months in cherry-wood barrels, before being bottled. "Vaio Armaron" is a classy wine, that reflects the traditional spirit of the Valpolicella.

Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG "Casal dei Ronchi" - Masi
The Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG is one of the most characteristic wines of the Veneto region. The "cru" Casal dei Ronchi is located in Gargagnago, part of the municipality of Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, and it is the vineyard mentioned in the purchase deed of 1353, with which Pietro Alighieri, son of Dante, bought houses and land in the Valpolicella area. Characterized by reddish, deep and loose soil of calcareous and marlstone derivation, it allows productions of good quantity and high quality. The classic grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara clone Serego Alighieri make up the Casal dei Ronchi, a sweet, fragrant and fruity Recioto. The grapes are dried for three months in a special drying room (fruttaio), then for 12 months in 25- hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels and for 3 months in 600-liter cherry barrels.
