Beaches on Lake Garda

Lake Garda has many beautiful beaches, some of which are equipped with all amenities and others are completely natural. The beaches are made of sand, pebbles or stones and the water depth varies according to the area. On the southern shore, the water gradually descends, whereas it often deepens abruptly on the upper Lake Garda. Bays, coves, small inlets or wide banks, the beauty of Lake Garda is incomparable.


Beaches on Lake Garda - Veneto (eastern shore)

Baia delle Sirene - Garda
Not far from the centre of Garda is the well-known languet Punta San Vigilio, from where you can admire one of the most beautiful views of Lake Garda. In the Punta San Vigilio Park, you will find the famous "Baia delle Sirene" beach (Mermaid Bay) with beach club, entertainment, child care and food stalls. Beach access is subject to a fee and includes use of the car park, deck chair rental, showers and WC as well as a children’s club with playground and child care. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Val di Sogno Beach - Malcesine
The free gravel beach south of Malcesine is popular with windsurfers and sailing fans and also because it gives visitors the chance to walk along the lakeside. In the Val di Sogno (Dream Valley) beach visitors can rent parasols and deck chairs. The Isola del Sogno (Dream Island), popular for diving, is only 20 metres away.

Bagni Brancolino Beach - Torri del Benaco
The Lido Bagni Brancolino is situated halfway between the towns of Garda and Torri del Benaco and roughly 1 km from Punta San Vigilio. Access to the gravel beach with low tide is subject to a fee. There is a bar service and a small car park, but not much shade.

La Cavalla Beach - Garda
The beach is only a few metres from the centre of Garda and close to the pedestrian path that connects Garda and Bardolino, making it easy to reach for families with children. It is a free beach and offers bars and restaurants as well as deck chair rental. The water is particularly clear in this section of the lake, making the La Cavalla (the mare) gravel beach one of the most popular of the region. There is also a big car park just a few metres away.

Mirabello Beach - Bardolino
Access to this private beach, situated on the Cipriani lakeside and south of the historic centre of Bardolino, is subject to a fee. It is equipped with parasols and deck chairs and there are bars and restaurants. The gravel beach has only a few grassed areas. The water is deep from the start and the beach is very narrow. There is a small car park close by.

La Guglia Beach - Pacengo
Free sand beach close to the harbour of Pacengo, easy reachable from Peschiera and Lazise. Bars and restaurants in the surroundings. Proceeding on the lakefront towards Lazise you will get to the sand beaches of various campsites that may be used also by non-guests.


Beaches on Lake Garda - Trentino (northern shore)

Spiaggia delle Lucertole Beach - Nago-Torbole
This is one of the smallest free beaches on Lake Garda, but also one of the most beautiful. The "Spiaggia delle Lucertole" (lizard beach) in Nago-Torbole is famous for its overhanging cliff that only experienced mountain climbers dare to scale. Next to the beach is a very small car park (only 3 parking spaces). Torbole also has one of the most beautiful beaches on the lake in close proximity to the centre.

Spiaggia dei Pini Beach - Riva del Garda
The "Spiaggia dei Pini" (pine beach) is located in Riva del Garda and also known as "Purfina", and because it is popular with youngsters. On the beach, there is a bar where you can buy aperitifs and snacks and during the summer, there are theme parties and music is played. The grave beach also boasts a vast grassed area and is equipped with showers, deck chair rental, a swim platform with a self-contained swimming pool and a slide on Lake Garda. The beach is popular with surfers who have their own spots.


Beaches on Lake Garda - Lombardy (western shore)

Jamaica Beach - Sirmione
One of the most beautiful free beaches in the south of Lake Garda where reflecting rocks on the lakebed add a blueish turquoise colour to the water. The beach is on the tip of the Sirmione languet and can be reached exclusively on foot or by boat.

Lido delle Bionde Beach - Sirmione
The free "Lido delle Bionde" consists of stones with some grassed areas. The beach has a restaurant, bars, a canoe and a pedalo rental. There are aperitifs and happy hours in the evenings.

Baia Bianca Bay - Manerba
This is a very popular beach with youngsters, and there are bars and music for them. The beach is subject to a fee and offers a sun lounger and a parasol rental. There are also a restaurant, bars and boat service. Apart from being a beach, the Baia Bianca also is a club where people meet in the evenings.

Baia del Vento Bay - San Felice
This beach, situated in San Felice del Benaco, is one of the most famous on Lake Garda. From here, visitors can admire Monte Baldo, the languet Punta San Vigilio, the Isola del Garda and, from the western shore, the Vittoriale in Toscolano Maderno. The languets Punta del Corno and Punta di San Fermo can be found on both ends.

Public bathing beach Spiaggia d’oro - Desenzano
The "Spiaggia d’Oro Golden Beach", located in the town of Rivoltella, boasts a restaurant, bars, a club and a pedalo rental. It is a very popular beach not only with tourists, but also with local youngsters that meet here in the evening and at night.
