In the morning a guided visit to the splendid historical centre of Padua, known as the "Saint's City". The unique Basilica with its marvellous Romanesque-Gothic architecture, housing the remains of Saint Anthony, is constantly visited by thousands of pilgrims. Seat of one of the oldest Universities in the world, Padua is also famous for its Palazzo della Ragione. It consists of one, vast hall called "il Salone", which is decorated with more than 300 frescoes and surrounded by colourful fruit and vegetables markets. In the afternoon a short stop in the mediaeval hamlet of Soave, wellknown becouse of its wine that you will taste after a guided visit to the local wine cellar.
